My tamales start with a dough (“masa”) made from corn flour, chicken or pork broth, lard, Royal-brand baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
I then add pork meat, guajillo chile, onion, garlic and cumin.
These tamales are made fresh the day of delivery (Wednesdays) and have more filling than the tamales you usually find at supermarkets. Even people who don't like tamales tend to love these tamales :)
Order size: 1 dozen (12) tamales
Approx. 5.2 oz per tamale.
Typical serving per person: 1-2 tamales
HEATING/SERVING INSTRUCTIONS
These tamales typically arrive warn as they are made fresh that day, and are ready to eat.
To store and reheat:
-Fridge: Store in refrigerator for up to 5-6 days. To eat, microwave for 2-3 minutes.
-Freezer: You can also freeze the tamales for up to 3 months. Thaw for 2 hours and then microwave.
